The University of Sydney is proudly sponsoring the world’s first international conference on global health security to be held in Sydney in June 2019.

This week is the last chance though to submit your abstracts for the conference, as submissions close 9 November 2018.

GHS2019 aims to bring together a global community of practitioners, researchers, educators, representatives and decision-makers across the fields of public health, medicine, veterinary science, agriculture, government, defence, international relations, sociology and anthropology to examine the progress made to date in strengthening health systems, and identify the gaps and opportunities for responding more efficiently and effectively to future health emergencies.

With the support of our Conference Partners and Sponsors, travel bursaries have been made available for up to 200 participants from low-income countries to attend the conference and present their research. If you have international collaborators that you believe would be interested in attending, please encourage them to submit an abstract today!

The Conference themes include such topics as health emergencies, emerging threats and challenges, antimicrobial resistance, zoonotic pathogens, partnerships for global health security, governance and financing, and new technologies.
